Unpacked: Reflective Leadership in a Workplace Under Pressure with awe Training and Support

Alice Williams is the founder of awe Training and Support and brings more than 30 years of experience across community services, disability, early childhood, education, workforce development and organisational leadership.

Her current work focuses on trauma-informed practice, reflective supervision, professional judgement, leadership and workforce capability. She is the developer of the AWE Integrated Supervision Framework™, a practical framework designed to strengthen the conversations that support people, practice and organisations.

This will be an interactive session rather than a traditional sit-and-listen presentation. Through practical examples, reflective questions and conversation, participants will explore the difference between managing the work and creating space for people to think and learn within the work. Participants will consider how curiosity can change a conversation, how assumptions can influence decision-making, why psychological safety matters when people are under pressure, and how small changes in the questions leaders ask can create very different conversations. Attendees will leave with simple reflective questions and practical approaches they can use immediately in conversations with their own teams, without introducing another complicated process into already busy workplaces.
