As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence come along and hear from experts in the field about the topic of Coercive Control, including the introduction of State legislation to assist victims who are experiencing it. Please join us in this important conversation.
Speakers:• Kelly Barrett is a social worker and trainer leading the development and provision of domestic and family violence at Women’s Safety Services SA.• Deb Moyle is a proud Ngarrindjeri woman and a member of First People of the Millewa Mallee and leads the community-led Justice Reinvestment in South Australia • Jake Battifuoco is the General Manager for Power Community Ltd (not-for-profit arm of Port Adelaide Football Club), delivering the club’s Power to End Violence Against Women and Empowered programs across South Australia. • Magistrate Jay Pandya is the Regional Manager of Port Adelaide Magistrates Court, with a special interest in the area of domestic violence and was previously the Manager of the Family Violence Court. • Sergeant Justin Houston is the Domestic Violence Portfolio Supervisor at the Family and Domestic Violence Section at SAPOL.• Hon Susan Close is the Deputy Premier of South Australia and the State Member for Port Adelaide.
