Unpacking the Budget
Event description
It has been a tough year for many Australian families, with inflation driving up costs of housing, groceries, education, energy and more. Across Australia, communities are relying on the Federal Government to deliver a Budget that provides some cost-of-living relief, while also meeting its election commitments to improve climate action, social services, gender equity, and integrity in federal politics.
As the Independent Federal Member for North Sydney, Kylea Tink MP has been advocating for funding to be allocated to improvements in local bushland, cycleways, sports and arts facilities; investments in cutting-edge research; and support for vulnerable women and children in the community.
Join Kylea in conversation with Jo Taranto (Sustainability Educator & Social Entrepreneur) and Melanie Fernandez (GM Policy, Communications & Research at Chief Executive Women) to find out more about the Federal Budget 2024-25, and what the Government's funding decisions mean for our community.
