Unreliable
Event description
What happens when the experts get it wrong? When the research we trust is revealed as untrustworthy?
Unreliable is a bold new performance work about the unsettling moment when the truth unravels. Facing the messy reality of bad research and manipulated data, of information and systems we trusted turning out to be… Unreliable.
Crossing forms from dance to monologue, using screens and technology, it playfully explores truth and trust — and what (or who) we should believe.
From the myth of female hysteria to the origins of the anti-vax movements and the dark history of eugenics, this exciting performance hybrid asks: who gets to decide the truth — and who pays the price when they get it wrong?
