UNSW Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Listening Sessions

Racism has no place in UNSW. We want to hear our community’s ideas for addressing racism and discrimination.

The UNSW Inclusive Communities Team will be holding Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Listening Sessions to inform anti-racism and anti-discrimination work at UNSW.    

Listening sessions are facilitated conversations where participants are invited to: 

• share experiences of racism or discrimination at UNSW 

• reflect on what is working and what needs to change 

• contribute ideas for preventing and addressing racism in systematic ways 

Participation is voluntary, and you can choose how much you wish to share.  

All information collected in this registration form is for the purposes of organising these sessions and will not be used or shared for any other purpose.   

All information shared in the listening sessions will be de-identified before insights are used in any UNSW report. 

In line with UNSW’s Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) Protocol, participants retain ownership of their knowledge and stories, which will be treated with respect.

If you are interested in participating, please select one session to attend.

Some of our sessions invite participation from people from particular cultural, ethnic, or religious backgrounds. Others are open sessions for anyone with experiences of racism or discrimination. The particular cohorts were selected based on data from the Respect@Uni report that highlighted a number of groups reporting higher levels of racism and discrimination, as well as from feedback and consultation with the UNSW community.
