MTS is thrilled to present our production of Heathers: the Musical!

A dramatic black comedy with light humour and heavy themes based upon the cult classic film of the same name, Heathers: the Musical tells the story of Veronica Sawyer an American high schooler who wishes to experience the praise and affection of popularity. With its fair share of party scenes, classroom humour, and a personable protagonist who audiences relate to over her coming-of-age journey, this show brilliantly represents the universal teenage experience. However, what is more profound is the show’s ability to open dialogue surrounding important issues including bullying, teen suicide, sexual assault and school violence – themes which are masterfully addressed by the show’s unique balance of the hilarious and serious.

Audiences are advised that this show contains coarse language, depictions of drug and alcohol use, as well as portrayals and discussion of suicide, sexual assault, school violence, terrorism, and homophobia.
