UNSW MTS Presents: Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier
Event description
We all know how Disney stories go: there's a struggle between good and evil, and inevitably, goodness (and beauty) prevails. But have you ever thought that these stories may have been... Twisted?
Reimagining the story of Aladdin from the perspective of it's original villain, Ja'Far, this StarKid production celebrates and lovingly pokes fun at the stories we heard in childhood.
Long ago in a Magic Kingdom, one misunderstood Royal Vizier named Ja'Far goes on a quest to save his city from its bumbling sultan, an invading prince, and the most notorious thief to ever live. With the help of the Kingdom's free-spirited, teenage Princess, the Vizier must find a magical lamp containing a wish-granting Djinn (who's really funny, by the way) and defeat the city's most-wanted criminal... Aladdin!
Audiences are advised that this show contains coarse language.
