We honour their thousands of years of care and protection of the land, waters, art, music and culture of this place prior to invasion, and the continuing resistance of First Nations people to the settler-colonial state.

Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Welcome to our third UNZIP event celebrating Mardi Gras! Unzip stems from the desire for free places of expression led by and for femme, queer, gender diverse and trans peoples.

We welcome allies, but please come to the space being aware of its intentions, that we are celebrating and elevating the FLINTA (femme, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, asexual) community. If you are attending this party as an ally, we invite you to reflect on your intentions. There will be an active door presence.

This is a place of safety and expression. Sexism, racism or homophobia of ANY kind will not be tolerated. Staring is not a compliment, and consent is active, meaning that if it's not a hell YES, it's a hell NO.

We are so excited to host you and to experience what is about to unfold!

Our address is 18-22 Sydney Street, Marrickville. Please enter and leave quietly. We are a 5-10 min walk from Sydenham Station.

There are limited tickets on the door before midnight.
