    Event description

You're invited to Up All Night: Shavuot 5784/2024 where we will be exploring the idea of "Learning as Tikkun."

Our evening will include learning, music, noshing, schmoozing, building community and cheesecake!

Workshops lead by community members will help us ask what Shavuot teaches us about how to learn as a means of Tikkun, healing or repair, and will include opportunities to learn through the body, community, and text.

Join us for embodied Hebrew learning for all levels, inclusive and accessible Torah study, unionizing 101, insights from the Cultural Shift survey about the experiences and perspectives of Jews of Color in the Pacific Northwest, a discussion about antisemitism and anti-zionism, learning about the activism of Israeli and Palestinian educators and activists and more! TischPDX's mission and kavanah of uplifting the leadership of marginalized Jews in Portland informs the selection and design of Up All Night's workshops and leaders.

We are excited to welcome special guest Alicia Jo Rabins to present a solo performance of Girls in Trouble, a lively musical storytelling about radical biblical women.

Thank you to our Co-sponsor of this event Congregation Shir Tikvah!
