UP! Club - Summer Paradise Camp 2024 The Collaroy Centre

We welcome you to join us for- 

SUMMER PARADISE CAMP 2024

Dive into the magic of Summer at the Collaroy Centre, where we welcome our loved ones with Down syndrome from 16 years and over to join us in  an unforgettable summer camp experience!  Our specialized program is designed to combine the thrill of winter activities with the warmth of inclusivity, creating a unique space for adventure, camaraderie, and personal growth.

Where: The Collaroy Centre, 22 Homestead St, Collaroy 2097

Date: Friday 29 November, 2024 - Sunday 01 December 2024

Start Time: Friday 3:30pm at Central/  5pm at the Collaroy Centre

Finish Time: Sunday: 2:30pm at Central/ 1:00pm at the Collaroy Centre

Cost:

$2,100 - coach included

$2,020 - own transportation

Cost will include: 

• Accommodation
• Meals
• Activities facilitated by the venue and DSNSW staff and volunteers
  
• Workshops, activities and resources 
  
• Staff and Support
•  Transport via Coach (for those who opt to use our coach services)

3:30pm	Meet at Central Train Station Grand Concourse (between platforms 1 & 2)
4:00pm – 5:00pm	Coach to the Collaroy Centre
5:00pm-5:30pm	Welcome members dropped-off to the Collaroy Centre  Arrival/Welcome/ Introductions staff, volunteers and peer mentors/ Group Rules/Room Allocations
5:30pm-6:00pm	Check In, Make Beds and Settle into Rooms
6:00pm-7:00pm	Dinner
7:00pm-7:30pm	Get your camp t-shirt!
7:30pm-9:30pm	Movie and Pajama Night/Arts and Crafts
9:30pm-10:00pm	Settle into Rooms
10:00pm	Bedtime/Lights Out

7:00am	Wake Up and Get Ready for the Day
7:30am	Morning Yoga and Fitness
8:00am-9:00am	Breakfast
9:00am –12:00pm	Oval games & self-advocacy workshop (rotation) - Gazebo will be provided for shade.
12:00pm -1:00pm	Lunch
1:30pm – 3:30pm	Get ready to get drenched! *Fun in the Sun activities (rotation) - slip n slide, tug o’ war, gauntlet, sponge relay
3:00pm-3:30pm	Afternoon Tea
3:30pm – 5:00pm	Cool down in the afternoon with a movie, arts and crafts, board games.
5:00pm-6:00pm	Down Time/ Get Ready for the Disco!
6:00pm-7:00pm	Dinner
7:00pm-9:30pm	It’s a Disco!
10:00pm	Bedtime/Lights Out

10:00am-11:00am	Face to Face Coffee Club with Nikki and Summer Camp Journals
11:00am-12:00pm	Camp Graduation
12:00pm-1:00pm	Lunch
1:00pm	Pick up from the Collaroy Centre
1:15pm-2:15pm	Catch Coach to Central Train Station
2:30pm	Pick up at Central Train Station/ Say Goodbyes until Next Time!

*Activity groups will be arranged based on age – groups - 16-25 years, 25-34 years and, 35+ years. 

More details will be emailed to participants for preparation of the camp. 

Stay COVID-safe – if you become unwell, please stay home and do not attend this event

** Please note if we have NOT received your signed 2024 Service Agreement and Schedule of Supports version 2, you will not be able to attend services with Down Syndrome NSW.

You need to return these forms 48hrs before a scheduled activity then you will be able to attend this Up! Club activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We know plans change but we are so excited to see you! Bookings cancelled 7 days or less before the event date will be charged in full. We trust you understand this as we find it hard to fill your spot after this date. Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@dsansw.org.au
