WINTER CAMP 2024 IS COMING!

Dive into the magic of winter at the Sydney Academy Sport and Rec Centre, where we welcome adults with Down syndrome to an unforgettable winter camp experience!  Our specialized program is designed to combine the thrill of winter activities with the warmth of inclusivity, creating a unique space for adventure, camaraderie, and personal growth.

Where: Sydney Academy Sport and Rec Centre, Wakehurst Pkwy, Narrabeen NSW 2101

Date: Friday 28 June, 2024 - Sunday 30 June, 2024

Start

Friday 2:30pm at Central Train Station (Grand Concourse)

              4pm at Sydney Academy Sport and Rec. Centre

Finish

Sunday 1:30pm at Sydney Academy Sport and Rec. Centre
            2:30pm at Central Train Station (Grand Concourse)          

           Pick up: 2:45pm

Service Cost: $2000 - 2 x overnight stay + coach (return)

                       $1920 - 2 x overnight stay (own transport)

3:00pm – 4:00pm	Coach to Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation Centre
4:00pm-4:30pm	Welcome members dropped-off to venue  Arrival/Welcome/ Introductions/ Group Rules/Room Allocations
4:30pm	Check In and Settle into Rooms
5:00pm	Ice breakers / Fun Games
6:00pm	Dinner Time
7:00pm	Movie and Pajama Night!/Arts and Crafts
9:30pm	Settle into Rooms
10:00pm	Bedtime/Lights Out

5:00pm-6:00pm	Down Time/ Get Ready for the Disco!

1:30pm	Depart on Coach to Central Train Station
2:10pm	Arrive at Central Train Station
2:45pm	Pick up at Central Train Station/ Say Goodbyes until Next Time!

*Activity groups will be arranged based on age – groups - 16-25 years, 25-34 years and, 35+ years. 

More details will be emailed to participants for preparation of the camp. 

Stay COVID-safe – if you become unwell, please stay home and do not attend this event

** Please note if we have NOT received your signed 2024 Service Agreement and Schedule of Supports version 2, you will not be able to attend services with Down Syndrome NSW.

You need to return these forms 48hrs before a scheduled activity then you will be able to attend this Up! Club activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We know plans change but we are so excited to see you! Bookings cancelled 7 days or less before the event date will be charged in full. We trust you understand this as we find it hard to fill your spot after this date. Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@dsansw.org.au
