Up! Up! and Away School Holiday Program with Leap Frogs

For children aged 6 - 17 who have Down Syndrome (siblings welcome to register - first sibling FREE).

Dates: Thursday 3 October, 2024

Venue: Hornsby Heights Community Centre, 104 Galston Rd, Hornsby Heights NSW 2077

Time: 10:00am-3:00pm

Registration: $100 per person with an exciting offer of first sibling attends

About Leap Frogs:
Leap Frogs Action Sports And Games is a company located in the heart of Botany-NSW and leaded by Michel Bonalume, who is a Physical Education Teacher, Post graduated in Exercise Physiology and gymnastics coach with over 13 years of experience within children’s sport, recreational and educational settings.

All activities are catered to the child’s interests and are adaptable to children of all ages from and abilities, Indoor and outdoor settings.

School Holiday Camp Itinerary

Date: 3 October 2024

Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Location: Hornsby Heights Community Centre

Session 1: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

- 10:00 AM: Arrival and Registration

- 10:05 AM: Energizing warm-up activities with music to set the tone.

- 10:20 AM: Balloon challenges (inflating and using balloons for various fun challenges).

- 10:40 AM: Cornhole and Bowling activities.

Break: 11:00 AM - 11:15 AM

(Sit down, water break, and restroom break)

Session 2: 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM

- 11:15 AM: Team-building exercises with giant buckets (building towers, shapes, etc.).

- 11:35 AM: Giant Jenga Blocks for both fun and building activities.

Lunch and Free Play: 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM

(Please bring packed lunch)

Session 3: 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM

- 12:45 PM: Hand-eye coordination activities with rackets.

- 1:05 PM: Egg and spoon race.

- 1:25 PM: Exciting obstacle courses featuring jumping, weaving, crawling through tunnels, and balancing.

Break: 1:45 PM - 2:05 PM

(Sit down, water break, and restroom break)

Session 4: 2:05 PM - 2:55 PM

- 2:05 PM: Interactive games with a giant ball (rolling over participants and creative play).

- 2:30 PM: Passing drills for sports like AFL, netball, and volleyball to enhance coordination.

- 2:55 PM: Stretching exercises and free play on equipment.

Additional Information:

- Activities Include: A variety of engaging activities designed to promote teamwork, coordination, and fun.

- Breaks: Scheduled breaks between sessions for water, restroom, and relaxation.

- What to Bring: Packed lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing suitable for physical activities.

- Notes: Please ensure all participants have appropriate footwear (e.g., sneakers) for outdoor and indoor activities.
