Event description

Create something unique for Mum!

When: Sat May 3rd, 10.30am-11.30am

Where: Te Puna Auaha: Lyttelton's Community Makerspace

Come along to Te Puna Auaha: Lyttelton's Community Makerspace to learn about plastic recycling and create your own unique earrings for Mum this Mother’s Day! Workshop consists of cutting shapes by hand from plastics that would otherwise be going to landfill.

Led by Anthea from Remix Plastic - Anthea has 5 years experience working in environmental education as well as living a 'low waste' lifestyle. Bring along your questions and creativity!

Each attendee will be provided with equipment and materials needed to make 2 pairs of earrings. There will be extras available to purchase if you want to go home and continue your work.

For children 8 years and older, 8-12 year olds must be supervised by an adult.

These workshops are a trial for continuing and expanding workshops in 2025. Attendees/guardians will be asked to fill in an anonymous feedback form before leaving the workshop.
