Upcycled Random Weave Sculptural Forms and Baskets

Using packing tape, old cables and wire, flotsam and found recyclable participants will create sculptural vessels  to make unique 'basket forms'.

The skill of Random weave will be taught incorporating waste materials such as plastic strapping, computer cables, electrical wire, in fact anything flexible! The forms will be created using boxes and beach balls as 'moulds'. Participants can personalise their vessel by adding their own embellishments and decorations using upcycled and found materials.

We will have lots of tape and wire and random bits and pieces for you to use but feel free to bring anything you have collected yourself;  plastic packing; old wires and cables, anything flexible and a reasonable length. Bottle tops, old pieces of hose, electronic waste as embellishments etc

A light lunch will be provided
