Upcycling Workshop

Bring in a small bookshelf or bedside table and learn how to give it a new look with Amy Woomack of Woomack Interiors.

(Suggested pieces: small side table, bedside table, small drawers, stool, small bookshelf)

This workshop will be held over two days. Day one will be sanding and priming - approximately 3-4 hours. Day two will be painting - approximately 2-3 hours.

Furniture guidelines:

• No bigger than a small bookshelf or bedside table

• Must be manageable for one person to carry

• Furniture must be structurally sound as we will not have tools for repairs and there are time restraints to complete the piece

• Can be hard wood or plywood

• Anything with glass in it needs to be removable to avoid scratching and/or breakage

• Furniture with hardware is fine - you will be shown how to prep and paint these if needed. Replacing/sourcing hardware will be at your own expense and outside of workshop hours

• Ensure piece is clean from dust/grease/grime

• Upholstered pieces will not be suitable for this workshop, unless fabric has been removed prior

Please note this workshop doesn't include sanding back to bare wood or paint stripping (but Amy will happily talk you through any other projects you may have at home that require this).

Please bring a towel/blanket to protect your piece when you take it home all freshly painted.
