Event description

UPSKILL is an online skills based course for carers who are currently utilising a family-led refeeding (or FBT/Maudsley) approach for their child and need skills and support to manage this process.

Our weekly themes are:

  • Week 1: Meal Support
  • Week 2: The Role of the Carer
  • Week 3: Managing Distress
  • Week 4: Managing Eating Disorder Behaviours
  • Week 5: Boundary Setting
  • Week 6: Managing the Impact of an Eating Disorder

Following the presentation, there will be space for shared learning amongst the group, supported by facilitators who also have lived experience caring for a loved one with an eating disorder.

Who is the course suitable for?

This course is suitable for families and carers who are currently utilising a family-led refeeding (or FBT/Maudsley) approach for their child.  This course aims to upskill carers with practical tools to best support the person they care for.

When is the course run?
