Upstander: A super-charged fundraising event,

promoting the freedom, safety and celebration of Women.

Castlemaine’s favourite party band M79 will perform alongside a ’supergroup’ of talented local female artists and an all-women’s dance group, with DJs Tina Helm and Jen Moore bringing up the dance vibes.

Aside from the fabulous entertainment, the main aim of Upstander is to raise money for a women’s refuge in the area (Annie North), and to raise awareness of what refuges do and the services they offer.

The event also aims to raise awareness of men’s behaviour-change programs in the area, the Active Bystander workshop/program available in Central Victoria, and to help support women in the Central Victorian region and beyond to feel safe, free, respected and appreciated.

Upstander is an all ages event at the family friendly time of 4pm-9pm.

Food and alcohol will be on sale at the event.
