UPSTREAM 2021

Event description

Christians have a long tradition of responding 'downstream' to many of society's and culture's challenges.Collectively, we are among the largest and best equipped groups in providing health-care, education and schooling, emergency housing, crisis relief and welfare. While we will still navigate these traditional 'downstream' challenges into the future, we also have the means and opportunities to consider how we go 'upstream' and play a long-term role in alleviating many of these growing problems before they get downstream.

We would like to invite you to our first breakout session of Upstream on November 24th, 9:30AM (following the Tasmanian Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, at the Hobart Grand Chancellor). At this inaugural session Dr. Andrew Corbett will be interviewing Pastor Stephen Baxter, His Grace, Archbishop Julian Porteous, and Major Angela Rawlings as we discuss how we go upstream —

  • engage with politics
  • navigate the increasingly hostile 'cancel' culture
  • confront toxic masculinity

Join us after The 2021 Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, for Upstream 2021.

We hope to see you there.
