Description

Ever wanted to participate in Micromouse but didn't know where to start? No worries, because back by popular demand, UQ MARS's Micromouse Workshop Kits has you covered! Over the course of four workshops, learn the ins and outs of basic robotics design, building, and programming from our amazing workshop leaders. Develop your engineering skills in CAD design, circuit schematic design, PCB routing, coding and more! Use these workshops plus the kit to get ahead and prepare your Micromouse for UQ MARS's 2026 Micromouse Competition in Semester 2.

While the workshops are free to attend, our team highly recommends for beginners to purchase the tutorial Micromouse kit that is ready to program at the end of the workshop series! This mouse was specifically designed with beginners in mind by our team to ensure that you can focus on the programming and testing side of Micromouse. With only 15 Micromouse bots, get them before they go!

FAQs

  • Do I need to purchase a bot to attend a workshop?

Nope! Workshops are free to attend. Feel free to come along and then buy a bot later when you feel comfortable.

  • Why is it making me choose a day to buy the bot?

Choosing a day is mostly for if you aren't available to come to the first workshop to let us know when the best time to give you your bot is! Overall, don't worry about it too much if you put in a date, we will still have all the bots ready to go if you attend!

  • Do I have to attend all the workshops?

Nope! Feel free to pick and choose which ones you attend, although we recommend showing up to gain better insights on the design and building process. That being said, you might want to attend a workshop prior to the competition to collect your bot if you purchase one.

  • I can't attend any of the workshops but I brought a bot, what do I do?

No worries! You can attend our projects workshops every Monday Night and ask one of our handy dandy exec there to retrieve your bot. If you can't attend one of those feel free to reach out to us at team@uqmars.com or on our instagram dms to arrange for this to happen.
