The University of Queensland School of Music is delighted to present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's beloved opera, The Marriage of Figaro.Â
This timeless masterpiece, brimming with wit, charm, and stunning melodies, promises an unforgettable night, showcasing the UQ School of Music's finest vocalists and instrumentalists.Â
Under the baton of UQ Alumnus Nathan Aspinall and directed by Dr Shaun Brown this new generation of performers will activate the Opera Queensland Studio offering the audience a unique opportunity to experience an opera in an intimate setting, almost being part of the production.
Whether you're a seasoned opera lover or a newcomer to the genre, join the clever and resourceful Figaro and his soon to be wife Susanna, as they navigate a day of romantic entanglements, mistaken identities, and class conflicts.
This event is presented by The University of Queensland School of Music, proudly associated with UQ Arts and supported by Opera Queensland.Â

- The Opera Queensland Studio is located on the parklands/river side of The Queensland Conservatorium via the ground floor behind the Rainbow stairs.
- Please note, tickets are general admission. Please arrive with your group so you can find seats together. For accessible seating, please note any requirements on our booking form.Â
- Doors will open 45 minutes prior to each performance.Â
- Refreshments will be available to purchase prior to the performance and during the interval.Â
