Help Bayside Council fight urban heat by re-leafing our community!

Bayside residents are invited to attend a Native Tree Planting Workshop where you'll learn about the benefits of planting native trees in your backyard and create your own personalised tree planting plan for your garden. Workshop attendees will go home with appropriate native tube stock (baby tree - small potted plant), which you can confidently plant in your garden today to ensure cooler summers for the future!

When:
Weekday Session: Wednesday 12th of March 2025, 10:00AM -11:30AM
Weekend Session: Saturday 15th of March 2025, 10:00AM - 11:30AM

Where:
Rockdale Library, Level 3

This workshop is available to BAYSIDE RESIDENTS ONLY, who reside in privately owned properties with available ground space for planting. As such registration is required, and we will need you to provide your home address and contact details.

This information will be used to:
- Verify that you are a Bayside resident, with available garden space for tree planting.
- Include a bird's eye view (satellite image) of your property in your personalised tree planting plan.

Skill Level:
No prior gardening experience or native plant knowledge is required - everyone is welcome!

Transportation:
Rockdale Library is easy to commute to via car (ample nearby parking) or public transport (5min walk from Rockdale Station). However you choose to attend, please consider you will need to transport your chosen native tube stock (baby tree - small potted plant) back home with you.
