Urban Opinion Project - Masterclass 1

The Urban Opinion Project Masterclass is open to academics at the University of Sydney whose research relates to cities and regions – from government and politics to public health, law, engineering, economics, business, sociology, geography, architecture.
The Masterclass, led by the Henry Halloran Trust’s new writer-in-residence, Dr Elizabeth Farrelly, aims to provide academics with the skills to develop persuasive, research informed arguments around all issues relating to urban life and city-making.
The first masterclass will be held on Monday, 29 August in the Wilkinson Building. This class will cover the nature of opinion writing, its purpose, audience and defining characteristics, including how it differs from academic writing.
