Event description

In our digital world, many of us conduct coaching sessions across the world via video conferencing platforms. How aware are we of our digital risks and influences? Join us to learn more about Cybercy.

What is Cybercy?

Cybercy (think literacy, numeracy…Cybercy) goes beyond basic cybersecurity, focusing on digital literacy and critical thinking. In an environment we believe is the same as our real-world experience, Cybercy equips people with the skills to engage safely and effectively online. It helps individuals navigate the online world showing them why change would be to their advantage.

Cybercy’s mission is to:
- build awareness of digital risks and influences.
- encourage people to care about the impact of their online behaviours (and those of their families, and communities.)
- motivate change by helping people adopt safer and more informed online practices.

What People Say

"Cybercy is a key enabler to understand and implement recommendations made in the development of the National Cyber Security Strategy. What I learnt doing a Cybercy workshop has changed my behaviour online. It added to my skills and facilitated safer behaviours. Cybercy has impacted my contribution in my professional roles forming and shaping deeper and more relevant questions. The benefits have also helped my family engage more safely online.”

- Air Marshall Mel Hupfeld former Chief of Air Force and Member of the Minister appointed Expert Advisory Board charged with framing the National Cyber Security Strategy

Time: 6:30pm for a 7pm start. This event will be held in person and online.
The 90-minute talk will be followed by an informal open discussion + Q&A.
