Welcome to Sydney! Explore your new home with our fun sightseeing tours at USU Day Trips. The tours are the perfect chance for students to learn more about the city and make new friends along the way. 

This semester, we're running weekly Day Trips to various highlights, from a Cultural Cultural Cruise to a visit to Luna park

 All tours have a $20 refundable fee - if you attend the tour you will be refunded the $20

02 Aug | Cultural Cruise

16 Aug | Harbour Bridge Climbing Adventure

🌉 Embrace the thrill of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb! Experience breath taking panoramic views of Sydney from above in this exhilarating adventure.

23 Aug | Cherry Blossom Festival at Auburn Botanic Gardens

🌸 Embrace the Beauty of Cherry Blossoms! Join us for a mesmerising day at the Auburn Botanic Gardens to celebrate the vibrant Cherry Blossom Festival. Experience the stunning bloom of cherry blossoms in a picturesque setting, filled with cultural performances, traditional tea ceremonies, and delightful garden walks.

30 Aug | North Building Art Gallery Tour

06 Sep | Hoyts Movie Night - Deadpool & Wolverine

13 Sep | Sydney Fringe Festival - CIRCUS • The Show  

🎪 Experience the thrill of the Sydney Fringe Festival with an incredible circus performance.  

  Meet Up: Meet us at Holme Building at 3:30 PM. We will take public transportation together.

20 Sep  | Chinatown Food Tour

🍜 Following our International Food and Culture Fair, dive into a delicious food tour in Chinatown. Taste the rich flavours of the diverse culinary scene.
  Meet Up: Meet us at Holme Building at 10:00 AM. We will take public transportation together.

27 Sep  | True Crime Story Tour 

🕵️‍♂️ Uncover the dark and intriguing history of The Rocks with a True Crime Story Tour.  

  Meet Up: Meet us at Holme Building at 9:30 AM. We will take public transportation together.

11 Oct  | Anzac Memorial Tour

  🕊️ Delve into Australia’s military history with a guided tour of the Anzac Memorial.  
  Meet Up: Meet us at Holme Building at 12:00 PM. We will take public transportation together.

18 Oct | Taronga Zoo 

🦁 Come see all the incredible animals that are housed at Taronga Zoo and learn about Australian wildlife!
  Meet Up: Meet us in front of Hermann's Lawn at 9:30 AM.

25 Oct | Yoga on Bondi Beach 

🧘‍♀️ Start your day with a relaxing yoga session on the stunning Bondi Beach.  
  Meet Up: Hermann's Lawn at 9:30 AM. We will board a hired bus there. Please note that there is no return bus, so you will need to arrange your own transportation back.

01 Nov | Sea Life Attraction

🐠 Dive into an underwater adventure at one of Sydney’s top attractions.

What is USU Day Trips?
USU Day Trips is an event series for USYD international and domestic students to make new friends and explore all the best parts of Sydney. In semester 2, we're running weekly Day Trips to various highlights, from an Culture Cruise to a movie night at Hoyts, and so much more!

Who can join Day Trips?
Day Trips are open to all USU Members. If you aren’t a member yet, make sure you sign up today so you can come along and enjoy all the fun. The best part is, it's free for all USYD students! Sign up for USU membership here.

What are the Covid-19 safety requirements?
Day Trips attendees are required to follow all of the University's Covid Safety Precautions, any Covid Safety requirements issued by NSW Health. This may include but are not limited to wearing masks on public transport and checking in via the Health QR.

What if I don’t receive my confirmation email?
Please email us if you don't receive confirmation of your registration.

What happens if it's bad weather?
Most of the USU's Day Trips will go on regardless of the weather, so make sure you pack appropriately! Make sure you have water and a hat if it's sunny, and an umbrella if it's raining. If the weather is too severe for the Day Trip to go on as scheduled, you will be notified via email and offered a refund or a change of date option.

Tickets are sold out. What do I do now?
Please click join the waitlist on Humanitix. Note that the waitlist is limited as well. But don't worry if you miss out on this Day Trip, the next one is just around the corner!

Can I join on the day if someone doesn’t show up?
Since our day trip events are typically very popular and have a high attendance rate, it's unlikely that spots will open up on the day of the event. However, if you're still interested in joining, you can sign up on the waiting list. An hour before the event starts, you'll find a QR code printed on the outside wall of our Student Programs office. Please scan it and fill out the form. You will be contacted by USU once a spot becomes available. Additionally, if the location requires meeting off campus, we will update the QR code in the event information on Humanitix. Please check the event information on the day of the event start.

By participating in this event, I agree to the terms and conditions:
1. Participants are responsible for their own behaviour and any resulting consequences. The University of Sydney Union shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings or any injury to the individual or others resulting from the event. Furthermore you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this event.
2. All attendees must adhere to all COVID-19 safety requirements, including but not limited, to wearing a mask on ALL public transport.
3. I consent to being contacted by the USU via email about upcoming events and activities. I can opt out of these communications at any time.
4. I consent to being photographed by USU during the event for future promotion content on USU socials and communication channels.
