Come along to our our fortnightly G'day Gatherings sessions, where we welcome you to Sydney, teach you some slang, local sports and introduce you to Aussie food and drinks 👋

Meet other international students, learn about the most iconic spots around USYD Campus and Sydney city, plus enjoy FREE food from Manning Cantina!

What are USU G'Day Gatherings? 

Led by our friendly group facilitator, G'Day Gatherings (formerly Australian Discussion Groups) are social sessions where you can meet international students, practise English and learn more about Australian culture. 

G'Day Gatherings run fortnightly throughout the semester, with each session on a different topic including Aussie Slang and Aussie Food & Drinks. Free lunch included!

Who can join Australian Discussion Groups?

These sessions are open to all USU Members. If you aren’t a member yet, make sure you sign up today so you can come along and enjoy all the fun. The best part is, it's free for all USYD students! Sign up for USU membership here.

What are the Covid-19 safety requirements? 

Attendees are required to follow all of the University's Covid Safety Precautions and any Covid Safety requirements issued by the NSW Health.

What if I don’t receive my confirmation email? 

Please email us if you don't receive confirmation of your registration. 

Tickets are sold out. What do I do now?

Please email us if you'd like to join the waitlist, and we'll contact you as soon as a spot opens. But don't worry if you miss out on this Australian Discussion Group, the next one is just around the corner!
