Event description
Utp Rising are an ensemble of ten artists and arts workers finding their place and roles within a burgeoning arts community. Utp Rising are supportive, curious, critical and sincere and work within Utp to ground their roles, careers and ambitions as artists.
Through their group show soft landings, Utp Rising invite you to find comfort and suspend time to contemplate reality or imagine one anew. They work with video, sound, writing, installation, painting, mixed media, animation, and performance to bring their concepts to life.

Accessibility
Wheelchair users - All visitors to our home at Bankstown Arts Centre can use all public spaces. Entry to the Arts Centre is via the front of the building at Dale Parade.
There is an accessible and gender-neutral bathroom in the foyer of Bankstown Arts Centre with a handrail and an assistance button. All bathrooms in the centre have handrails and can be accessed directly or via the lift in the foyer.
The courtyard at Bankstown Arts Centre is marginally accessible for wheelchairs - there is a ramp to get to all rooms but there is no ramp into the inner grassy courtyard. The step down into the grassy courtyard is roughly 10cm high.
The Utp office is located on the first floor at Bankstown Arts Centre and is accessible via the Arts Centre foyer lift, or via the stage doors.
Parking and Public Transport - There is a minibus drop off zone at Dale Parade close to the Arts Centre's main entrance and parking is available at the Olympic Parade car park. Should you prefer to take public transport, Utp is located very close to Bankstown train station - about a 7 minute walk away.
d/Deaf & Hard of Hearing People - Hearing dogs are welcome at Utp and Bankstown Arts Centre. Attendees are welcome to take them into RS1 and the Utp office.
Utp and Bankstown Arts Centre does not have a hearing loop.
Blind & Partially Sighted People - Guide Dogs are welcome at Utp and Bankstown Arts Centre. Attendees are welcome to take them into RS1 or our office.
White Cane Users - are welcome at Utp and Bankstown Arts Centre.
LGBTIQA+Â - The bathrooms on the ground floor at Bankstown Arts Centre and back of house in the Utp theatre and rehearsal studio (RS1) are accessible and gender neutral.
People with sensory sensitivities - A separate quiet space will be available on site during the event
