Do you identify as and Early Career Academic at UTS? Are you interested in being involved in the establishment of a pan-UTS network of Early Career Academics?

This online discussion forum will begin to shape the vision, aims, objectives, governance structures and activities of the UTS Early Career Academic (ECA) Network.

Opened by the UTS ECA Network Sponsor, Professor Kate McGrath, DVCR, this will be an interactive forum where you - key stakeholders in the Network - can play a role in how it should proceed right at its inception.

What is the ECA Network?

The ECA Network is predominantly targeted at postdoctoral researchers, but will be open, we hope, to anyone who self-identifies as "early career". The Network will:

enable ECAs to communicate with the University as a united group on issues in which they have a stake, and have greater potential to contribute to executive decision making;
provide ECAs a forum in which to engage socially and professionally with others at a similar career stage, in and outside of their discipline area, on common professional interests, challenges and success factors: and
give visibility to a pool of emerging ECA talent to participate on UTS committees and working groups.

Join us for this open discussion on the establishment of the UTS ECA Network and how you can play a central role in its development.
