Invitation to a Very Special Farewell - Verity Firth, Pro Vice-Chancellor Social Justice & Inclusion

I would like to invite you to a farewell gathering for Verity Firth, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Social Justice and Inclusion) and Industry Professor for Education & Public Benefit, who will leave UTS at the end of December after over 8 years of service.

As many of you are familiar with, Verity has consistently been a champion of ‘social good’ through her work in improving student access and equity, diversity and inclusion, community engagement and partnerships, and socially impactful research and practice collaborations. In particular, Verity was instrumental in the creation of the University's Social Impact Framework, a first of its kind in the Australian university sector, to demonstrate and measure our social impact as a university, and to guide our efforts into the future.

Please join us on 12 December, to celebrate Verity's many contributions across the university in advocating for social justice at UTS and our broader community through her leadership of the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion, and the Human Technology Institute.
