Event description
UTS FASS HDR End-of-Year Picnic
Bring your picnic blankets, picnic hampers, bubblies, bubble wands, munchies, musical instruments, and board games, and safely relax out in the open with your HDR friends and HDR supervisors in nature in the beautiful and breezy Vista Pavillion (Lawn 52) at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. There is shelter in case it rains, although it is expected to be clear on the day.
Dress up or dress down, or wear a costume!
Event capacity is limited to 85 due to Covid-19 restrictions at the park, so please register soon. After we reach 85 you will be added to a waitlist.
Catering
FASS will organise a catered individually boxed lunch from Parliament on King , a social enterprise catering service run by refugees and asylum seekers with some very delicious food. Gluten free and vegan options will be avalable. Please feel free to bring your own preferred picnic drinks, be it beer, wine or other drinks [based on NSW advise at the time].
Transport
The Royal Botanic Gardens is easily accessible via public transport. Metered parking is available along Mrs Macquaries Road, Art Gallery Road and Macquarie Street. Secure undercover parking is available at The Domain Car Park. More info here.
