The demand for skilled cybersecurity and computer science professionals is rapidly increasing as technology becomes integral to our daily lives. Organisations are actively seeking innovative and dynamic talent to navigate this fast-evolving landscape.

At UTS, we are not merely observing this trend – we are at the forefront with our pioneering Industry Degree Academy (IDeA) cadetship, the first of its kind in Australia.

Our exceptional three-year program is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and invaluable hands-on experience. Imagine being placed in some of Australia's most prestigious companies while you study. This is not just education – it is an adventure that transforms theoretical learning into real-world impact.

Co-created with industry leaders, the IDeA cadetship ensures that our students graduate with the specific skills and experience that employers desire. Since its launch in 2023, we have successfully matched nearly 150 talented students with top-tier organizations, including NSW and Federal Governments and leading technology firms. This initiative is a game-changer, creating a robust pipeline of highly skilled professionals ready to tackle tomorrow's challenges.

We invite you to embark on an exciting journey at our upcoming IDeA cadetship information session. This is an opportunity to learn how your business can play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of talent. As a part of panel discussion on the day, we will have two of our current students share their experiences along with representatives from three of our existing IDeA partners. Details of the panel are as under:

ASIC - Beth Sloane, Head of Infrastructure Services
NSW Premier's department - Shankar Thangavelu, Service Delivery Manager
WiseTech Global - Matthew Kameron, Technical Lead
IDeA students
- Kai Johnson - working with NSW Premier's department
- Rianna Libdy - working with WiseTech Global

Discover the multitude of benefits the program offers and discuss how your organization can get involved. Together, we can shape a brighter, more secure future.

Do not miss out – join us and be part of this exciting evolution!
