About our Speakers:
Tomasz Bednarz, Director, Strategic Researcher Engagement - APAC and EMEA at NVIDIA
Strategic Researcher Engagement for APAC and EMEA at NVIDIA Corporation. Earlier he was a Director and Head of Visualisation at the Expanded Perception & Interaction Centre (EPICentre) at the UNSW. He as at the same time, a Research Team Leader at CSIRO’s Data61. He also led Simulation and Modeling Cross-Cutting Capability for CSIRO’s Future Science and Technology. In 2019, he was Conference Chair of ACM SIGRAPH Asia 2019 (SIGRAPH conferences are the world’s largest, most influential annual meetings and exhibitions in computer graphics and interactive techniques). In 2022-24 he is serving as SIGRAPH Asia Conference Advisory Group (SACAG) Chair, contributing to the future of SIGRAPH Asia conferences and connecting global research community.
Johan Barthelemy, PhD Developer Relation Manager, Asia Pacific South NVIDIA
After his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Namur (Belgium), Dr. Johan Barthélemy joined the SMART Infrastructure Facility of the University of Wollongong (Australia) where he was a Lecturer and the head of the Digital Living Lab researching and developing AI and AIoT solutions for smart cities and environmental monitoring. Being passionate about applied AI and how to accelerate it with GPUs, he is now a Developer Relations Manager at NVIDIA, helping developers and scientists in their journey to build the next generation of AI-based solutions.
