    UTS Tech Festival is back in 2023, bigger and better!

    Hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and IT, Tech Festival brings current and prospective UTS students, academics and industry together to foster learning, inspiration, share ideas and promote innovation!​ You won't want to miss this two-week festival of events, showcases, hackathons, workshops and seminars!

    Quantum Hackathon

    The Quantum Hackathon at UTS is a unique and innovative event where students will come together to design and develop quantum games using the Quokka, a personal quantum computer developed by a spinout start-up from UTS. 

    This immersive experience will include hands-on tutorials and mentorship from quantum computing experts from UTS. 

    The hackathon will culminate in a competition where teams will present their quantum games, showcasing their creativity and technical prowess.


    Register your attendance by Wednesday 21 June 2023. You will only need to register ONCE for this event. Your registration will cover both days. 

    When: Thursday 22 June 2023 and Friday 23 June 2023

    Where: UTS Building 11, Level 4, Room 400

    Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm

    What to bring: attendees to bring their own device (laptop)

    Catering will be provided at this event. 

    The audience for this event includes undergraduate and postgraduate students from various disciplines, such as computer science, engineering, physics, and mathematics. The event is designed to cater to students with varying levels of familiarity with quantum computing, from beginners to those with prior experience. This hackathon is especially suitable for students interested in pursuing a career or further studies in quantum computing, game development, or related fields.

    Please note, prizes will be awarded to to UTS Students only.
