    UTS Tech Festival is back in 2023, bigger and better!

    Hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and IT, Tech Festival brings current and prospective UTS students, academics and industry together to foster learning, inspiration, share ideas and promote innovation!​ You won't want to miss this two-week festival of events, showcases, hackathons, workshops and seminars!

    Come and see that FEIT has just as much play as they do work in an event in co-operation with the UTS Gaming Society, Gamers Guild! 

    Starting on Thursday with some free gaming, as well as a chance to get used to the provided hardware for the tournament the following day.

    Friday culminates in a video games tournament for attendees to show off their extracurricular skills in their favourite video games! 

    Finally, Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the tournament! Please note, prizes will be awarded to to UTS Students only.

    Registrations essential for tournament competition. Register by 21 June. You can register for Day 1 or Day 2, or register for both! 

    When: Thursday 22 June 2023 and Friday 23 June 2023

    Day 1 (Thursday) - Social Gaming - we'll play an assortment of video games and table top games, including: Smash Bros, Valorant, Mario Kart, League, Overwatch, Warhammer, Magic:The Gathering, Coup, Blood on the Clocktower and much more


    11am: Industry Talk : Charles Garde (MSI Notebook FAE & Product Trainer) - Charles Garde is currently a Notebook FAE at MSI Computers Australia. He brings over 10 years’ experience adapting to the massive technological leaps in the Information and Communications Technology industry. Charles has a passion in delivering impactful training & development, across all delivery methods.



    Day 2 (Friday) - Game Competition -  CS:GO 1v1 Tournament, sponsored by MSI and NVIDIA

    Who's invited: This event is for students of UTS only. While we expect most students will be from FEIT, students from other Faculties are welcome too!

    What to bring:

    • Audio Device (eg headphones, headset) – Mandatory for game audio
    • Mouse and Keyboard (Or other desired peripherals) – Optional

    A light lunch (midday) will be provided on the tournament day, but participants are also encouraged to bring their own food and plenty of water.
