Refund policy

Refund Eligibility Refunds will only be considered in the following circumstances: 1. Medical Emergency: If you or a member of your immediate family experiences a medical emergency that prevents you from attending "Utsavam 2023", you may be eligible for a refund. We may request documentation to verify the emergency. 2. Approval by Asma Executive Member: Refunds may be approved by a team member from our organisation. You must contact ASMA to request a refund and provide a valid reason. The team member will assess your request on a case-by-case basis and determine if a refund is appropriate. Refund Request Process : To request a refund, please follow these steps: Contact our customer support team via asmabyata@gmail.com or @asmassociation (instagram) Clearly state the reason for your refund request. Provide any necessary documentation or proof, such as medical certificates or communication with our team members. Refund Approval The approval of a refund is at the sole discretion of ASMA and may vary depending on individual circumstances. We aim to process refund requests promptly, and you will be informed of the decision as soon as it is reached. Refund Processing If your refund request is approved, we will initiate the refund to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow [5 business days] for the refund to be processed. What is ASMA?

The Australian Student Malayali Association is a youth-created and youth-run initiative to connect Malayali students across Australia and build a strong and vibrant community that preserves the rich cultural heritage of the Malayali community for generations to come. Beyond just South Indians, we aim to share and celebrate Malayali culture with the broader Australian public, while also empowering young Malayali entrepreneurs, artists, and international students on this exciting journey. Rediscovering Keralite roots, from Melbourne to Sydney to Brisbane.

We have three distinct goals:

To celebrate the dual identity of Malayali and Western cultures
To connect Malayali international students directly to the Australian Malayali community
To promote Malayali entrepreneurs, artists and networking

Where do my ticket purchases go?

None of your money from ticket purchases will end up in the hands of the ASMA organising team. We simply run these events out of passion. All proceeds from ASMA events go towards funding the next ASMA event, with a portion from going towards raising funds for our annual chosen charity.

This year we are supporting the Don Bosco Veedu charity in Kerala. Don Bosco’s work for street children in Trivandrum began in May, 1991. It started as a night shelter for street children and youth in rented facilities. Later on, in collaboration with Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum, Don Bosco Centre, Manacaud, Trivandrum was constructed. Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society is part of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) congregation spread over 133 countries working for the welfare of children and youth, especially those at risk.

A portion of each ticket purchased furthers Don Bosco Veedu's mission to provide education and care to underprivileged children in Kerala.
