The UWA Oceans Institute and Subsea Innovation Cluster Australia (SICA) invites you to attend the 6th SICA Offshore Wind Seminar
In this seminar, we will delve into the emerging societal, cultural, and environmental dimensions of offshore wind development in Australia. Our exploration will encompass international insights, recent research findings, and the significance of securing a social license to operate.
The seminar will include three 20 minute presentations followed by a panel discussion.
- Social licence to operate offshore wind in Australia – Alaya Spencer-Cotton (UWA)
- Cultural guidance in biodiversity mapping and condition assessment – Tim Langlois (UWA)
- Ecosystem services impacts and marine monitoring – Matt Navarro and Belinda Cannell (UWA)
This event will conclude with refreshments and networking opportunity.
