Medicare Workshop

Join other ACCHOs from across Victoria for a 2-day Medicare workshop including topics MBS Billing, Practice Incentive Payments (PIP) and ACCHO Models of Care. The aim of the workshop is to discuss systematising claiming methods and sustainable revenue models towards improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.

The workshop will include a variety of presentations and discussions including tools and resources. VACCHO warmly welcomes your collective experiences to help frame future Medicare workshops and support in 2024.

Time/Date: 9am-4:30pm Tuesday 20th – 1:30pm Wednesday 21st February 2024

Location: Mantra Epping, 250 Cooper St, Epping VIC 3076

The workshop is designed for 2 staff members from each ACCHO who work specifically on Medicare claiming (e.g. medical officers, practice managers and clinical leads etc.)

What is included: VACCHO is covering accommodation from 19th-21st February and meals:

Tuesday 20th February

• Dinner

Wednesday 21st February

• Breakfast
• Lunch

What is not included: Travel to and from Mantra Epping and dinner Monday 19th February.

Staying COVID-19 safe

We look forward to seeing you at the workshop. As health worker professionals, we know all too well the importance of keeping COVID-19 Safe. Therefore, we strongly recommend that, before you travel to the Workshop, you do a RAT to ensure you are COVID-19 free. We will have plenty of RATs and masks available for use over the weekend. Do not hesitate to leave early during the workshop if you  become unwell. VACCHO’s priority is to keep everyone safe and prevent spread of infectious diseases. We also recommend staying at home if you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms or any other infectious symptoms:

• fever
• chills or sweats
• cough
• sore throat
• shortness of breath
• stuffy or runny nose.
• loss or change in sense of smell or taste
• nausea and vomiting
• diarrhoea
