SUNDY 7th SEPTEMBER 2025 - 4PM
Live at The Servo, Port Kembla.

Val Moogz + Suami Amabel

Making waves on the Aussie music scene is South Coast NSW songwriter Val Moogz, with their distinctive blend of soul, folk, and acoustic pop. Blending lyrical depth with smooth grooves and timeless songwriting, Val Moogz crafts songs that feel like a hug from your best mate: warm, honest, and effortlessly relatable.

Since launching in 2021, Val Moogz has steadily built momentum across the East Coast. With recent standout performances at the Cobargo Folk Festival 2025, the Milton Folk, Jazz & Blues Festival 2025, and a coveted slot on the upcoming Wanderer Festival 2025, they’ve earned a reputation for delivering engaging, groove-driven sets that connect easily with and move audiences, in all the ways. They’ve supported major acts including The Whitlams, Alex Lloyd, Kingswood, and Ben Lee, and have been featured in live sessions for ABC Illawarra and ABC South East.

Their latest single “Oh Beautiful” marks a new chapter ahead of their debut EP, being released over Spring/Summer 2025, with an accompanying regional NSW tour. Earlier singles “Gypsy,” “The Sea,” and “With You” have been supported by local radio and independent touring, including a 2022 East Coast launch tour and 2023/2024 North Coast runs.

Val Moogz began performing as a teenager in Sydney under their birth name, Hannah Matysek. A graduate of the Talent Development Project, they’ve recorded with Sony Music, and shared stages with some of Australia’s most respected artists.

With a growing catalogue and strong live credentials, Val Moogz is quickly emerging as a compelling voice in Australia’s contemporary folk and roots scene.

In early 2020 Amabel released her debut single “White Wash” which received love on FBi radio, as she went on to perform a sold out single launch at Lazybones Lounge in Sydney’s Inner West.

Armed with story-telling lyricism, Amabel delivers guttural vocals that land with a honey sweetness of longing for the past.
