Valedictory Day – Parent Attendance

Thursday 15 October | Formal Farewell Rituals & Valedictory Day

We warmly invite Year 12 parents and guardians to join us as we celebrate and farewell the Class of 2026 on their final day at Mentone Girls’ Grammar.

To assist us with planning and catering, please use this registration to let us know which parts of the day you and your family will be attending.

Valedictory Day Program

8.45am – Meet Year 12 Tutors
Year 12 students and parents/guardians meet their Year 12 tutors at the Governor’s Courtyard.

9.00am – Walk to St Augustine’s Church
Year 12 students, parents/guardians, Year 12 tutors and the Senior Management Team will walk together to St Augustine’s Church.

9.15am – Thanksgiving Service
Thanksgiving Service at St Augustine’s Church with Reverend Andrea Nagy.

Following the service, all guests will walk together back to Mentone Girls’ Grammar.

10.15am – Morning Tea
Morning tea will be served in The Cobb, downstairs.

10.50am – Guard of Honour
Year 12 parents are asked to make their way to the Willow Courtyard to form the end of the Guard of Honour.

10.55am – Guard of Honour
Year 12 students will walk through the assembled Guard of Honour.

11.05am – Rose Assembly Seating
Guests and Senior School students will assemble in the Prudence Lewty Hall ahead of the Rose Assembly.

11.15am – Rose Assembly
The Rose Assembly will commence.

12.50pm – Rose Assembly concludes
Year 12 students will be dismissed and may leave with their parents/guardians ahead of the evening's Valedictory Dinner.

Please note that, due to venue capacity, each Year 12 student will be allocated two seats for parents/guardians towards the rear of the Hall, with their Rose Giver seated at the front.

Students have been asked to provide the name and contact details of their Rose Giver to Ms Shannon Boyle, Head of Senior Years.
