What you need to know about vaping, alcohol and other drugs

Parenting with Confidence is a workshop series for parents across the Waimakariri District. The workshops focus on specific topics to help parents find their confidence in parenting, explore the important issues effecting families across the district and help connect a community of like-minded parents with each other and with services. 

The workshops are brought to you by Waimakariri District Council, Rangiora Youth Community Trust and Community Wellbeing North Canterbury Trust. 

This workshop will be focusing on Vaping, Alcohol and other drugs and will be delivered by Tūturu, Odyssey House. The talk will cover statistics around use, why young people use substances, protective factors, how to have conversations with young people about substance use, how to help young people with cessation.  

At the end of the presentation there will be time for questions with a panel of experts from Odyssey House, Community Wellbeing North Canterbury, Rangiora Youth Community Trust and the Police. 

Finger food and prizes are available on the night.
