The Ukrainian Association of New Zealand (Southern Regions) Incorporated (UANZ-South) is a community-based, non-profit organisation established in 2018 by a group of Ukrainians living on New Zealand’s South Island. Guided by an elected Council, UANZ-South serves to strengthen and support our community while promoting our beloved homeland, Ukraine, here in Aotearoa.
Our mission is to help our members grow, connect, and thrive by preserving our language and cultural heritage, all while remaining an active part of New Zealand society. At UANZ-South, we’re committed to supporting our members in their life journeys, fostering strong connections within the community, and sharing Ukrainian culture across the South Island.
In these challenging times, we also work to provide much-needed aid to Ukraine during its defensive war against Russia. With the generous support of our sponsors and partners, UANZ-South hosts events celebrating Ukrainian culture that also raise funds to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
