VCE VCD Design 2 Prototype Afterschool Program at Casey Tech School
Description
Are you a VCE Visual Communication Design student looking to take your folio and final presentation to the next level?
Prototype2Present is a series of 4 FREE fortnightly sessions held after school in the Fab Lab at Casey Tech School — and it could be exactly what your Unit 4 needs.
Over four hands-on sessions, you'll learn to use professional fabrication technologies that most students never get access to. You'll design and make a 3D printed pencil topper, laser cut and etched coaster and keychain, custom cut stickers, and a sublimation printed mouse pad — all from your own original designs. Every skill you build connects directly to your VCE VCD Unit 4 Final Presentation, and high-performing students will have the opportunity to return to Casey Tech School to continue working on their own school-based projects using our equipment.
Sessions run fortnightly on Tuesdays, 4–6pm:
Session 1 – 21 July: 3D Printing
Session 2 – 4 August: Laser Cutting & Etching
Session 3 – 18 August: Large Format Printing
Session 4 – 1 September: Sublimation Printing
Places are limited, so book now to secure your spot. Please book for each session and bring your laptop with Adobe Illustrator installed. A parent or guardian permission form will be sent on booking.
