VCE VCD Design 2 Prototype Workshop at Casey Tech School

Welcome to the VCD & Visual Arts Folio Development & Prototyping Workshop for VCE students which is a FREE 2-day immersive experience for students with access to a range of technologies in our Fab Lab at Casey Tech School. This workshop is for VCE students to design and trial a range of applications in the Fab Lab. Our expert facilitators will support VCE students to apply their designs to a range of applications.

Students will apply their design using the following applications.

Day 1:

•       Laser printing – to create a key chain

•       3D printing – for a pencil topper, using type

Day 2:

•       Sublimation printing – to apply to a mouse pad (or bring your own tee)

•       Large format printing – to create a full colour custom sticker

What to bring

•       Snacks and lunch the Chisholm Café will be open to purchase food

•       USB to save work

•       You have the option to work in Adobe Illustrator if you bring your own laptop and charger, or you can use Affinity software on our laptops.

Participation:

Places are limited to 20 students

Booking requirements: Please have a guardian complete the online consent form to confirm your place.

Catering: No catering will be provided. Food for the day or lunch can be purchased at the Chisholm Cafe.
