VDWC Forum - Ross House
Event description
The Victorian Disability Worker Commission is an independent regulator committed to increasing the safety and quality of the disability workforce in Victoria. The Commission regulates all disability workers in Victoria, regardless of how they are funded or who they are employed by. If something is wrong with your disability worker or the service you are receiving, you can tell us.
At this forum you will hear an update from Commissioner Dan Stubbs on our work and what the Commission is seeing in the sector. This forum is also an opportunity for the Commissioner to hear from you on the issues you are seeing, and opportunities for the Commission to better communicate with and support the disability community.
Topics will include:
- Making a complaint about a disability worker, and supporting other people with disability to speak up if something isn’t right.
- You know what good support looks like - what does poor support look like?
- How can the Commission be more accessible and better support people with disability?
This forum is in an accessible venue.
