VDWC and DSC Public Forum - Frankston
Event description
The Victorian Disability Worker Commission is an independent body working to build a safer and stronger disability workforce in Victoria. The Commission regulates all disability workers regardless of how they are funded. The Commission is the first of its kind in the country, ensuring all Victorians with disability have access to the same safeguards.
The Disability Services Commissioner supports safe disability services in Victoria by accepting and monitoring complaints about government-funded disability services.
This forum will provide attendees with information on the different functions of VDWC - the disability worker Code of Conduct, complaints and notifications about disability workers, and disability worker registration - and the issues DSC can assist with. There will be the opportunity to ask questions.
The information provided at this forum is important for people with disability, disability workers, disability service providers, families and carers, and the wider community.
Morning tea will be provided at the end.
