VDWC Public Forum - Traralgon
Event description
The Victorian Disability Worker Commission is an independent body working to build a safer and stronger disability workforce in Victoria. The Commission regulates all disability workers regardless of how they are funded. The Commission is the first of its kind in the country, ensuring all Victorians with disability have access to the same safeguards.
This forum hosted by the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner, Dan Stubbs, will provide attendees with information on our different functions - complaints and notifications about disability workers, and disability worker registration. We are pleased to advise that Disability Services Commissioner Jennifer Jackson-Hall will also be part of this forum. Attendees will be able to hear from both VDWC and DSC, as the regulators responsible for all disability workers and all non-NDIS services, and how the two organisations work together. There will be the opportunity to ask questions.
The information provided at this forum is important for people with disability, disability workers, disability service providers, families and carers, and the wider community.
Afternoon tea will be provided at the end.
