Vegan/Vegetarian Nutrition in Pregnancy
Event description
Pregnancy and Breast Feeding are two of the most nutritionally demanding times in our lives. But how do we navigate this while maintaining our vegan/vegetarian diet?
In this workshop you will learn which nutrients are paramount for both pregnancy and lactation, the recommended daily intake of each of these nutrients for this time, where these nutrients are sourced from and how to achieve optimal health while following a plant based diet. You will also learn about which supplements (if required) are safest to use and tips and tricks on what foods to eat if pregnancy has left you feeling a little less motivated to eat healthily.
This workshop is for anyone who cook meals and/or are responsible for the health of the pregnant women in their life. This workshop is not only for those wanting to, or currently following a plant based diet, but for also for those who want to learn more about nutrition in this nutritionally demanding time.
Each participant will receive a goodie bag filled with goodies. Bookings are essential.

This event requires a minimum of 6 participants to run. Should there be less than 6, tickets will be refunded to those who have purchased tickets.
We intend on running these workshops at Northcote Natural Therapies. In the event that the government regulates that there cannot be groups indoors, this event will move to an online format (likely via zoom).
