Price FREE – $5 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

If you've ever wanted to grow veggies at home, but didn't know where to start, we have the workshop for you! Join Amy to learn some practical steps to get started. As with all good gardens we will start with the soil, then we will cover plant selection, plant spacing, watering and maintaining your patch. You will get hands on and get to try some simple but essential tools and try some planting too. We will talk about products available and what is helpful to add specifically to our Perth soils. In this workshop we will touch on all subjects so you have a starting point and confidence to get growing. AND you'll take home some seedlings to inspire you to dig in! This workshop is aimed at beginners but more seasoned gardeners might pick up some tips too!

When: Saturday 11 May, 9.30am to 11.30am (you're welcome to come along early to have a wander through the Farm)

Were: North Fremantle Social Farm, Thompson Rd, North Fremantle (next to the Community Hall)

Cost: free for members, $5 non-members. New social members always welcome, become a member here

Bring: Please bring your own gardening gloves (we have spares if needed) and wear sturdy shoes and gardening gear.

This workshop is a part of our Grow, Cook, Eat, Share program sponsored by the Department of Communities, Community Garden Grants.
