Event description

Sweets are too delicious to ban from your diet, but what if we could eat those treats and feel less guilty? What if we could eat a dessert and actually benefit in vitamins and minerals?

Melanie of Mettle + Grace is passionate about cooking food beneficial for you. Her cooking aims to recreate family favourite meals and dishes to incorporate dietary restrictions and improved health outcomes. In this class 'Veggies in Dessert’ you will learn how to create healthier versions of your old favourites. The desserts are dairy-free and gluten-free using a variety of ingredients; nuts, seeds, vegetables, whole grains, fats, spices, legumes and unrefined sugars. Please note that eggs are used in some recipes

The menu includes crowd pleasers like Chocolate Kidney Bean Slice and Spiced Pumpkin Donuts. We will also whip up

Rich Chocolate Beetroot Truffles, Lime +
Spinach Cake, Strawberry + Cauliflower
Cheesecake and Sweet Veggie Mousse.
Sugar will never be healthy, but we can make it healthierrrrrr.
