Velvet Disco is a guided music journey, created to help ease stress, support the nervous system, reconnect with the body by being fully present and less on autopilot.

Velvet Disco is becoming a small monthly gathering on the Central Coast for women who want to move, reset and reconnect through music and movement. This sunset session will take place on the sands of Ocean Beach, Umina. As the light softens and the day winds down, you’ll put on wireless headphones and be guided through music designed to help you drop out of your head and back into your body.

If you love a little breathwork but also lose it when a 90s classic comes on? You’ll fit right in.

Velvet Disco brings together grounding, guided movement and a proper dance on the beach. It’s 90 minutes to get out of your head, move how you feel and enjoy music you can’t stand still to.

We’ll start with gentle breathwork and intention setting before putting on our wireless headphones and easing into the music. Expect a mix of house, feel-good favourites and familiar tracks that bring out your inner raver, followed by a slower finish and closing circle.

There’s no right or wrong way to move. You might sway, stretch, dance, walk along the water, sit down or simply close your eyes and listen. The invitation is simply to follow what your body needs.

No dance experience is needed.

Spaces are intentionally limited due to the number of headphones available.

What women have said:

“I had so much fun! I felt like a kid again.”

“I struggle to chill out and properly relax… I felt so calm and content afterwards. I actually slept the whole night through for the first time in more than a year.”

“I genuinely had no clue how much of this experience would be therapeutic.”

“THE BEST experience… such a fun time! Can’t wait for the next one.”
