Join our free Vertebrate pesticide induction training course to learn safe, effective bait and pesticide use for pest control. Gain your 5-year accreditation.
Event details:
Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services for this free training session on the safe and effective use of baits and pesticides to control foxes, wild dogs, feral pigs, and rabbits.
If you’re new to pest control, your accreditation has expired, or you prefer face-to-face training, this course is perfect for you.
Our trainers are local Biosecurity professionals who will guide you through the topics and provide tailored pest management advice for your circumstances.
Our VPIT course covers:
legislation and legal obligations
baiting techniques
toxicity
storage
transport
how to reduce non-target exposure.
After successfully completing the course, participants will be certified to use 1080, Pindone, PAPP and RHDV baits for 5 years. Please register by Friday, 10 October 2025.
This workshop is also being held in Bathurst.
Additional details:
Light refreshments will be provided.
You must be 18 years or older to obtain baits or pesticides.
No prior knowledge or experience is required to complete this training - all training materials will be supplied on the day.
